1.2.5. Inventory management

1.2.5.1. 1. Inventory overview

To view all products, navigate to the “Inventory” page in the sidebar. This page displays a complete list of products along with essential details:

  • Product image

  • Description

  • Price per unit

  • Stock availability

  • Number of items sold

1.2.5.2. 2. Adding a new product

To add a product, click the “+” button in the top-right corner of the Inventory page. A form will appear where you need to provide the following details:

1.2.5.2.1. Required fields

  • ID (required, URL friendly): A unique identifier for internal use and URLs.

  • Description (required): Product description for the customers.

  • Unit name (required): Unit describing the quantity of the product (e.g., kg, items, etc.).

  • Price per unit (required): Sales price for the customer, including taxes, for the specified unit.

1.2.5.2.2. Optional fields

  • Image (add from your computer): Illustration of the product for the customers.

  • Age restriction (if any): Specify the minimum age required for purchase.

1.2.5.2.3. Stock management

For products with infinite supply (e.g., digital goods like books, journals…), leave these fields empty:

  • Current: The number of available units.

  • Next restock: The expected restocking date or “Never” if the item is not restocked.

  • Warehouse address: The location where the product is stored, including:

    • Country

    • Address

    • Building number

    • Building name

    • Street

    • Post code

    • Town location

    • Town

    • District

    • Country subdivision

1.2.5.2.4. Tax information

Taxes applied to the product.

  • Amount: The tax value (which may differ from the primary currency) (e.g., USD:2.3).

  • Description: The official name of the tax applied (e.g., VAT, GST).

1.2.5.2.5. Categories

  • Assign the product to one or more categories. Search using either the category ID or description (case-sensitive).

Once you are done, click on the “Confirm” button to add the product to inventory.

1.2.5.3. 3. Quick product edits

To quickly edit a product, click on the product you want to edit. A form will open where you can modify the following fields:

  • Incoming: Add more units of this product to the inventory.

  • Lost: Record lost or damaged inventory.

  • Price: Set a new price for the product.

For products with infinite supply, you can only update the price.

Once you are finished, click on the “Confirm” button to save the changes.

1.2.5.4. 4. Updating a product

To update a product, click on the “Update” button next to the product you want to update. A form will open where you can edit the product details. You can modify all the fields mentioned in the “How to Add a Product” section except for the ID field. Once you are done, click on the “Confirm” button to save the changes.

1.2.5.5. 5. Deleting a product

To delete a product, click on the “Delete” button next to the product you want to remove. Confirm the deletion in the dialog that appears by clicking on the “Delete product” button.
